Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
The Ontario Student Assistance Program is funded by Provincial and Federal governments through the National Students Loans Service Centre. OSAP is a needs-based program that provides loans, grants, scholarships and bursaries through a single application process. Visit OSAP for more information or drop in for a visit to speak with an Academy of Learning College Financial Aid Officer.
Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)
The Lifelong Learning Plan allows the withdrawal of specific amounts from your RRSPs to finance full-time training or education for you, your spouse or common-law partner. You cannot participate in the LLP to finance your children’s training or education, or the training or education of your spouse’s or common-law partner’s children. Visit the Life Long Learning Plan (LLP) / RRSP for more information.
Registered Education Savings Plan
A Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) is a special savings account that allows money deposited for a child’s post-secondary education to grow tax-free, until the person named enrolls in post-secondary education or training. Students who are named as a beneficiary under a family member’s RESP may use the funds to finance their education. Visit the Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) for further information.
Interest-Free Student Payment Plan
Academy of Learning College provides interest-free financing if you are not eligible for other funding options. A tuition payment plan can be developed to meet individual student needs. For more information please contact one of our campuses and speak with a Financial Aid Officer.
Student Line of Credit
The Academy of Learning College has a partnership with the CIBC. The CIBC Education Line of Credit (ELC) can provide students with up to $40,000 to help you manage the cost of your post-secondary education. Students only pay the interest while attending College, and for 12 months after graduation (or 6 months if you leave the program without graduating). For more information visit the CIBC Education Line of Credit, or speak with an Academy of Learning Financial Aid Officer.
Keep in mind that most major banks and credit unions offer student lines of credit to finance post-secondary education. Please visit your financial institution to learn about their options!
Sponsorship may be available from your employer, or possibly from outside agencies for eligible applicants. Students who wish to apply for sponsorship must contact their employer, or the appropriate agency for authorization. The application process for sponsorship varies from agency to agency.
